Toxic chemicals are in the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the water we drink—leading to cancer, infertility, Parkinson’s disease, ADHD, and other lifelong health problems. This isn’t fair or an accident. Chemical companies hide the health harms, exploit weak rules, and prioritize profit over health. It’s time we demand rules that work for people, not chemical companies.

Our Health
Over Toxic Wealth

Take Down Toxics is uniting people who believe we all deserve to live free from toxic chemicals and have the right to know when our health is threatened.

By exposing toxic chemical harm and giving people clear, accessible ways to stay informed and speak out, we’re building a bold, collective push to hold big corporations accountable and change the rules so that our health and safety are never sacrificed for corporate interests.

THE ISSUE

Chemical companies want weaker rules and no consequences.

Toxic chemicals are already in our homes, workplaces, and communities. Children, pregnant women, and workers face some of the highest exposures and health harms.

Weak, outdated rules let chemical companies hide harm and delay action. Now, some are pressuring the federal government to further weaken the safeguards that protect our health. They want fewer rules to protect us against toxic substances, to stop states from passing their own protections, to shield themselves from lawsuits, and to fast-track new chemicals.
